The 11 Guidelines for Success and Well-being
1. Grow in your sense of contentment and gratitude for what you already have and what life offers you
2. Grow within your heart until you know that your happiness does not depend on external 'things'
3. Develop a vast and unbiased sense of compassion and love for all creatures
4. Succeed in being able to sit in silence, quietly and without doing anything, for at least 10 minutes every day.
5. Achieve the goal of not watching TV or mainstream media in any form, read!
6. Achieve the goal of looking up to the sky for a few minutes everyday and growing a sense of awe and wonder.
7. Achieve the goal of not trying to get things you do not really need, or more than you need - and always give some back
8. Grow in your way of being a calm, honest and gentle human being
9. Develop your capacity at having no life plan and no agenda
10. Grow your ability to be present in each moment fully and not following after thoughts and judgments
11. Develop and work to achieve the goal of discovering who (or what) you really are.

Nowadays we are in a time where everyone is talking about success and how to develop personal success. These are keywords we hear and see again and again everywhere: Succeed, achieve, build, develop, growth. However we also live in a period in history with the highest levels of depression, anxiety, stress related illness and conflict at all levels. Already young children are placed under incredible pressure to 'be better'. So what kind of success are we trying to build? What kind of world are we creating? This constant struggle to develop and control the world and life, is in itself a source of great stress and anxiety, and in the end have we forgotten how to live in harmony without life itself and the world around us? Is this one of the reasons why human beings 'consume' everything, consume 'things', each other, and the planet itself ? This vision of success is build upon conflict and strife, where mostly one person's success will mean another's failure, leading to increasing competition, aggression, fear and so on.
In a day where we see so many lists of advice: list of things to become more wealthy, list of things to become more successful etc ... I would like to try my own version of a list of 'ideas' for success and well-being, how to have success. I will try to stay within the general 'keywords' theme of growth and development and so on. This is my suggestion, the 11 guidelines for success and personal well-being:
